What is FemmyCycle?
FemmyCycle is a menstrual cup from the makers of FemCap. The only reusable menstrual cup invented by a doctor, the revolutionary design features a patented no-spill foldable rim for less mess, a ring for easy removal and increased comfort, and up to 12 hours of leak free protection. Med Device & Diagnostics Expo gave FemmyCycle the “Why Didn’t I Think of That?” award two years in a row (2012 & 2013) for meeting a blatant unmet need in an elegantly simplistic and obvious way. The FemmyCycle is available in three sizes based on individual anatomy. The FemmyCycle menstrual cup can be worn while you sleep, exercise, and go about your day, so it is ideal for anyone who wants a better period experience.

Why was FemmyCycle Created?
Dr. Alfred Shihata, inventor of the FemCap contraceptive device, maintains a constant focus on women’s health issues. On studying menstrual cycles, Dr. Shihata determined that there had been little innovation in feminine hygiene products for menstrual protection in many years. There are few options for period protection – namely, tampons, pads, and menstrual cups – and there have been few design changes in those products for decades. Dr. Shihata set out to rectify that situation, creating FemmyCycle which offers significant design changes from previously available menstrual cups as well as a more environmentally friendly solution.
Since the development of FemmyCycle menstrual cup, there have been slight modifications to design which make the cup even softer, including making the pull-ring less bulky. Further updates include the development of a FemmyCycle model for women who have a lower than average cervix (Low Cervix) and a smaller FemmyCycle menstrual cup for teenagers and smaller women (Petite (formerly Teen)).
